We are delighted you are considering Texas Masonic Retirement Center as your new home. We welcome wives, widows, divorced or widowed mothers, never-married daughters, and never-married sisters of qualified Texas Masons. We appreciate your support and allegiance to the Texas Mason in your life and to members of the Masonic fraternity.

Eligibility Requirements for Family Members of Masons:

Wives, widows, divorced or widowed mothers, never-married sisters, and never-married daughters are eligible to live at Texas Masonic Retirement Center if the related eligible Texas Master Mason is(was) in good standing with a Texas Lodge. This is defined as a Texas Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Texas or a Texas Chapter working under the jurisdiction of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas for five (5) years preceding the application to move to Texas Masonic Retirement Center.

In addition, the wife or widow applying for admission, must have been continuously married to the eligible Mason for three years prior to the time of application.

Independent Living Status

Independent Living Status – Apartments & Duplexes
If your eligible family member chooses to live in our apartments or duplexes, the person will need to be capable of easily managing the independent activities of daily living. This means help is not needed with washing, showering, eating, handling finances, or managing medications.

If your eligible family member chooses to live in our custodial Nursing Area, we will provide staff to help with the necessities for daily living. The independent living requirement is waived. However, we do not offer medical treatment or a highly supervised setting as may required for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, severe dementia, or other serious medical problems.
