Are you an adult child or friend of a person involved in a Texas Masonic organization? If so, we appreciate your concern about helping your relative or friend move to Texas Masonic Retirement Center. We are glad to provide information and support. We want to assure you that your parent, relative, or friend will be provided with the finest accommodations and amenities, planned to meet any budget or lifestyle.
The next step will be determining if your relative or friend meets eligibility requirements for living at Texas Masonic Retirement Center. These are outlined below:
Independent Living Status – Apartments & Duplexes
If your relative or friend chooses to live in our apartments or duplexes, the person will need to be capable of easily managing the independent activities of daily living. This means help is not needed with washing, showering, eating, handling finances, or managing medications.
If your relative or friend chooses to live in our custodial Nursing Area, we will provide staff to help with the necessities for daily living. The independent living requirement is waived. However, we do not offer medical treatment or a highly supervised setting as may required for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, severe dementia, or other serious medical problems.
Mason or Member of Order of the Eastern Star in Good Standing
Texas Master Masons, who have continuously been in good standing in a Texas Lodge working under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Texas or a Texas Chapter working under the jurisdiction of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas for five (5) years preceding the application, are eligible to live at Texas Masonic Retirement Center.
Wives, widows, divorced or widowed mothers, never-married sisters, and never-married daughters are eligible to live at Texas Masonic Retirement Center if the related eligible Texas Master Mason is(was) in good standing with a Texas Lodge. This is defined as a Texas Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Texas or a Texas Chapter working under the jurisdiction of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas for five (5) years preceding the application to move to Texas Masonic Retirement Center.
In addition, the wife or widow applying for admission, must have been continuously married to the eligible Mason for three years prior to the time of application.
We also welcome members of the Texas Order of the Eastern Star (OES). OES members qualify through continuous good standing in a Texas Chapter under the jurisdiction of the Grand Chapter of Texas OES, for five years preceding the application to our facility. Please call Texas
Masonic Retirement Center at 817.275.2893 for more info on OES eligibility requirements.
